I deal indirectly with Scalelink.co.uk as a go between. They have a good supply for retail Matatador WWI kits, but some are out of stock right now. they go through paypal which is my perferred payment method, so far I've had no problems and service was excellent. Ifyou really want a contact challenge, email Cromwell models and see how long it takes...
Greetings, Josh

I live in Australia (so the UK is a looong way away) and I've tried sending them a FAX with my e-mail address and contact details, but have so far heard nothing from them.
I need some of their items to complete one or two projects... I'm getting desperate.
I'm ready to order as soon as I know they have the items I need (replacement tracks for the MkI-IV tanks).
I could get in touch with Bob, he runs the place I'll ask for you guys. I have to get in touch with him anyways about fahrpanzers and Durrkop artillery tractors.
Greetings, Josh

I've found it similarly impossible to get in touch with Matador, either by post or by fax. Though previously I've sent an order by post and got a fast delivery so I wonder what's happened to change things, hope there aren't problems
I've bought Matador products from scalelink in the last few weeks though and that worked fine, and I believe they don't put an 'add to basket' on the website if they don't have it in stock.
Took me about 8 months to get hold of them after payment was taken but no goods. Scalelink would be my best bet although they've been having problems too with Matador. Personally not overly keen on Matador, kits are more miss than hit - very disappointed with the British artillery kits and the WW1 Tank machine guns (no better than the Emhar ones). The AEC and Ford model T are nice but they're made with Scalelink masters, and thE WW1 specific Matador parts for these aren't particularly accurate such as the ambulance body. I'd love to try a couple more Matador Kits but don't want to waste money
I´m regularly stocking Matador items, and meet them a couple of times per year. Next time will be at Telford (nov 10+11), so anything you like you can order from me as well.

Josh, would this be regarding re-issuing these kits?
yes it would indeed, and what info might there be on their reissue?

I sent an order on April 5th 2013. No reply by August so rang the number found on the internet (NOT on the website) and spoke to proprietor's mum (!). He was at work and deals with matters in his spare time. Asked for my order to be chased up. Nothing happened. I wrote after another month providing e-mail address etc and pointing out that the cheque supplied would soon pass its 6 month deadline and therefore ;likely soon to be invalid. No reply, no goods.
In short, this seems to be amazingly poor service. A message to say out of stock or whatever would be fine. No contact, no goods, no info at all is frustrating and infuriating. At least the cheque has not been cashed yet...
Like Anonymous,
My dealings with Mr a Matador models has been appalling. I have orders outstanding from 3 years ago. I have telephoned and both spoken to Mr a Matador and his mum, I've had excuses from the I Spy book of retailers excuses. Frankly this is a shoe string outfit that pretends to be something bigger and better. We need the likes of MasterBox to produce the things that Matador claim to produce, or another aftermarket company to raise the mantle.

Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional.
I think with Matador Models, it's a case of seeing which shows he'll be attending, phone/e-mail/snail mail him in advance, and tell him what you want and you'll meet him at the show. If he doesn't bring you what you want, you can listen to him 'bluff his way out of it', and you can then make a 'face-to-face' complaint.
The only show I have know him to attend, (and this was a few years ago), is the IPMS Nationals at Telford, England.
Hope this helps.
Grant
P.S. I've been after his rail conversion kits for the Hasegawa Leopold and Karl Morser for years...and still no sign of them being re-moulded!!!!
