So with the supply tank finished, the Mk.IV Male close to finished, the Mk.IV female progressing nicely and the A7V done it's time to start something else.
Contrary to my post on RCD's thread about the warped track frames on Emhar's Tadpole, so long as they're held square while the whole assembly dries they straighten out fine without any additional bracing.
Before building the track frames I chamfered the inside of the two large holes to give them a more scale thickness and thinned down the front towing bracket.
As you can see the whole thing will be treated to some Mr.X goodies.

Excellent work so far. Really like how you reduced the wall thickness on the track extension parts. I have been toying with getting the ModelTrans version of the Tadpole. Looking at your work will inspire me I am sure.
Well that took a long time to primer, just over a year... guess I must have been doing it with a 1/72 scale brush
Anyway I also noticed that the kit is missing the 4 roof mounted brackets that the original carried so a couple of minutes of plasticard cutting took care of them, all ready for paint now.
While I had the airbrush out for the Flying Elephant I thought I'd get the base and clearcoat on the Tadpole too. Again it's been highlighted in the centre of each panel with varing degrees of Tamiya Flat Earth and pale grey and as usual it's almost impossible to see once the clearcoat's on.
With no markings it will need some serious weathering to bring it to life.
