Crib Fascine on Mark V?

Has anyone seen any details on the method used to keep the Crib fascine on the Mark V in place? Simply ropes or cables, or was there a more refined technique? The photos I have seen are too distant to get a clear impression of the method of attachment/release.

Could it have been the same as for a MkIV with a fascine?

Steve Zaloga I welcome you, read your publications under the Soviet reservation to the technics much.
Fascine fastening on МК-V differed from fastening on МК-IV.
In detail way of fastening of a fascine on MK-V, you can see on model of firm Meng which it has let out recently.

If you guys don't mind me asking... Mr. Modellbau has a resin engineered crib fascine and the instructions show "eyelets" on the inside of the cross beams.

 

1. Does anyone have a good drawing of where these eyelets were located on the crib? Did they even exist?

2. Continuing on with Steve's question.... What was the proper method of holding/attaching the engineered crib to a Mark IV ?

How were the original Fascines fastened in place and released? I have a Mark IV with Fascine I made and a Takom Mark V with Crib that I am trying to figure out how to rig correctly.

Any help greatly appreciated

There is a diagram in the latest iss (Vol.52/1) of "Tankette" the magazine of MAFVA, the diagram being correct for Mk.IV and Mk.V tanks.

Dick Harley states that the instructions in the MENG are wrong, the crib is the wrong way around.  He also says that the Meng 'crib fascine' is wrong, as one of the sleepers was mounted towars the centre of it's side of the hexago, which is the one sitting atop the hull.

The articles by Dick Harley in Tankette about the recent kits are superb, they highlight everything that must be corrected on the Takom and Meng kits of the Rhomboid tanks as well as for the Medium tanks.

The more I look, the more puzzling it gets, I found 3 pics and each one seems to have a different way of securing the Fascine on the Mark IV.

Yes... as on the pictures you can see some fascines loaded on top of cab for transportation and others with the railway sleeper already in place on the 2 hooks in front of the cab .This making the fascine being more forward , ready to be launched.
Looks like few crews took some shortcuts and already rig up their fascine in the final position " ready to attack "on the trains
The 2 first pictures have in fact the same rig up it is just the wooden timber used to do the Spanish windlass that is not secured same ( first picture the timber is horizontal , second picture is vertical and fastened on the towing hook)

Have a look at CRUSTY , I built the tank with the wooden timber for Spanish windlass vertical.
