Heavy tank MkVIII, full scratch 1/16 scale
Permalink

Hello,

Here's one of my latest work in progress and as the title says it all, it is the massive MkVIII 1919 heavy tank.

My model is in the large 1/16 scale and is full scratch except for the ball mg mounts that are in 3D.

It is now ready for the final paint jobs after I added the unit insignia.

All the building details here : http://manu-military.e-monsite.com/pages/entre-2-guerres-30-s/international-liberty-mkviii-tank.html

Thanks for watching and please don't hesistate to remove my post if it shoudn't suit the forum rules.

Hi, great model! I have been interested in this tank for a few years now, but I have not been able to find any drawings for it, does anyone know if blueprints exist? I have the Bovington Mk IV blueprints which are amazing, I would love to find the same for the Mk VIII

Wow, wonderful work on this beast. The work on the tracks is simply amazing. I was browsing through the rest of your work and was quite impressed with all of it, so I added you to my Favorites Bar. I will be spending some time looking at the rest of the site more carefully. Thank you for taking the time to photograph and post your work to the site as this can be quite time consuming. Once again excellent and quite accurate model, so thank you.

Impressive work, not only on this tank (I also took a look at your website). Did you use Grant Line nuts and bolts?

Cheers, Peter
