It certainly is a La Buire. Or possibly a Weitz - I'm not sure of the difference. This has had sides added and been used for transporting, amongst other things, coal. You can see a couple of bits of coal in the photo.

There's quite a bit of discussion about it on various sites. There might be more than one in existence. They intend to restore this and use it to haul the FTs around.

The use of La Buire trailers to transport Renault tanks was incidental to their most important use. That is, towed behind Knox prime movers

to carry Schneider CD (preferred) or Holt 47 tracked artillery tractors as part of the transport sections of the RALTs (Regiment l'Artillerie Lourdes à Tracteur).

A battery of guns (GPF/St Chamond) was towed by trucks but the last piece of ground was usually too chewed up by shellfire to move the guns into

position using the trucks so the tracked tractor was used to position the guns. It was intended that each RALT had two transport sections with 5 Knox, 5 La Buire trailers and

6 Schneider CDs. Due to equipment shortages very few RALTs had full complements of transport vehicles and most had only one transport section. 

It was possible to move a battery (4 guns) of GPF/St Chamond guns many kms overnight.
