The one in bigtank's last link, is one of two tanks from Lugansk, Ukraine. Another Mark V, from Arkhangelsk, Russia, was also restored (or mostly restored: it's hard to tell for certain, what stage the restoration is at)
Great links, bigtank. Thank you.

There is no problem , are there still other albums with vehicles from I WW , only it is necessary to seek :) I was glad , because at last I have takings off of the trunk FT17 from below . I can soon finish the model into 1:15 scale :)
Whats that Beaux-Art building in the backround to the left?
I´m not sure, not a bad looking piece of architecture...I wouldn´t mind having a closer look. Isn´t it the building in Brest, the one with the big door knockers. ?
Interesting to note that there's a metro system in Lugansk; you can see the white sign with a red M in the background.
I have studied this photo closely. Firstly this is Kharkov. Secondly, in the unlikely event that anyone's interested, another photo of the young lady with the poor dress sense may be found elsewhere on this forum.
It has always puzzled me how they got gun barrel metal so hard.
That reminds me of a BBC tv series called Lovejoy about a roughish antiques dealer, he was trying to sell a pair of dualing pistols and stated that the pistols had been in their case for so long that the barrels were now 'case-hardened', pity they hadn't spent some time in Damascus as well then.

Just Google translate - needs a Russian-speaker but FWIW the plaque says:
Heavy Tank Mk V - Composite, 1918 / England / Weight - 30 tons. Armour 8 - 16 mm. Crew - 8 people. Speed - 10 km / h. The explanatory text preceding the plaque text says:
Ru: English Tank Mk V hermaphrodite (left tank tank group: the right gun, cannon to the left), captured Ru: RKKA Wrangel (probably at Kakhovka bridgehead) in 1920, during First World War. At Constitution Square in Kharkov. Plaque:
