In most instances of inability to connect the problem will be the local machine (you) or the local network (your service provider or their routing provider) and that test will (usually) show that. Maybe worth bookmarking that one.
A more comprehensive check, trying from different parts of world in case it is just a localised fault (which is better news than the alternative) is http://just-ping.com/index.php?vh=www.landships.info&c=&s=ping!
Those above checks just show if the landships server is alive. To see if it is actually delivering content, there is a link at the bottom of the just-ping results which checks the website index page loading/handling from a number of global locations.
