And it's better looked after than the APG Mark IV! Not sure about the pickets hanging from the ceiling though. If you stray too close to the exhibits does one automatically spear you?
Thanks for that James, somehow missed out on all the publicity when it opened last Anzac day (must have been drunk) and me a one-time resident of Bullecourt Barracks here in these antipodes!
Though normally no fan, I will of course look on the involvement of the Australian Government as a gracious and fitting tribute to the dedication and many kindnesses of the late Jean Letaille OAM, former Mayor of Bullecourt, and his late wife Denise - and a remembrance of the very many fallen from all nations in the Bullecourt battles. We will not forget them.
I'd love to visit this, but personal circumstances mean that I would probably have to do so by myself and travel by public transport. I don't mind being by myself, but what's public transport like? Anyone know?
Gwyn, others might have that information at their fingertips, if not it's incorporated into the Australian Remembrance Trail (a continuing project), there may be some guidelines/hints somewhere in the Oz DVA pages about getting there (and the link mentions opening hours etc. - but I'm not certain it's open every day, Wikipedia says it's closed on Mondays). A job for a quiet afternoon's sleuthing if delving into DVA and associated links.

I'm in the Ypres area at the end of January, seems most museums are closed so may risk a venture down to Arras in the hope this and Wellington Quarry tunnels are open
