Dark Dream Studios WW1 Pilot set
Permalink

Gentlemen,

On the original Landships site I noticed there was a link in the figures review section there was a link to plastic soldier review about Dark Dream Studios WW1 Pilot Set.  But  computer cannot connect to Plastic-Soldier-Review.  I have seen the box illustration here and there on the internet, but no real pictures of the figures themselves.  I would really  appreciate it if one of you fine gentlemen would show me a few pictures of the figures (German figures only please).  And also, does the set also contain German mechanics, ground crew etc.

I am now done with my first diorama, and am considering doing a WW1 German airfield diorama.  I am terribly sorry if this seems of topic (move or delete this post if you wish), but do any of you gentlemen know of a decent WW1 German late war ground attack aircraft model kit in 1/72 scale, other than the Airfix Hannover CL.IIIa and Roden Gotha and Zeppelin-Staaken series models, that carries bombs, and is easily available in the US.

Thank you very much for your time!!

The silver plastic does'nt do them any favours(mine came in light grey) nor do the scans on PSR, I have the set and find them quite acceptable if a little chunky but quite interesting non the less...

eg: a man  lifting the aircraft tail, spinning the prop, pilot with thumbs up, mechanic listening to engine etc

you may note this set has the only Fashionable women available for the era in 1/72, the pilots do fit models such as the Airfix Roland CII and Avro 504 also seen them on a beautifull rather huge Zepplin Straaken("Roden" heavy Bomber) Diorama with other figures where they looked fine and not out of place...

Cheerswink

Stumbled upon and approved another of Stormtroop's posts. (S)he will be able to read any responses members may have if lurking but unfortunately can't complete member registration at this time in order to respond in the usual manner.

As for the question concerning a late war ground attack aircraft model, I would suggest the Eduard Junkers J1, which is of a very high standard. This is amongst my "pending" collection.smile

I do also have the figures. (They are amongst my "unlikely to be used, more likely to be given away FOC" collection.)bleh

Ironsides and Mr. Taylor,

Thank you both for the reviews. Ironsides, thanks for giving me a list of the poses. Michael Taylor, thanks a million for giving me your suggestion. I have picked the Eduard Junkers J.I for my next project, after I finish my Auraura Halberstadt CL.II ( I found it at an antique store for 25$, almost died when I saw what it was worth on the Internet).
